About Head for a Win
The application of Psychology to Sport and Exercise is a relatively new field. However, with the success of Team GB in the Beijing Olympics and now with the build up to London 2012, using sport psychology to aid performance has never been more popular.
Psychology is likely to have played a role in sport ever since humans began to compete; however, it is only now that athletes are taking advice based on scientific research and its implications. Nowadays, sport psychologists both assist athletes at the highest level of performance and athletes who just wish to improve their casual game.
Head for a Win is run by Richard Collins who is currently a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training. He is also a Qualified Occupational tester to a BPS standard of Level B Intermediate.
